New VAIO TX2 Replaces Sony VAIO TX

Tx2 The ultraportable Sony VAIO TX will soon be upgraded to the VAIO TX2. The TX2 will be similar to the TX in that it will be a subnotebook with an 11.1-inch screen and will have an integrated super-slim Double Layer DVD RW.

Unlike many new notebooks, the TX2 will not be a Core Duo notebook. It will use instead an Ultra-Low Voltage (ULV) Intel Pentium M processor with Centrino technology.  The TX2 will not have a fan.  Sony indicates that the use of LED technology in the display will stretch standard battery life to 7.5 hours.

There is no indication of release date for the Sony VAIO TX2, but as soon as we know, you will.
