Gateway Launches New Tablet PCs

Gateway_m285 While the Tablet PC has not exactly become the rage that Microsoft predicted, their popularity is on the rise, and Gateway has managed to grab 54% of US retail market sales. 

Gateway has launched two new models that complement the M280 and CX200 models Gateway currently offers. The M285-E and CX210 represent upgrades to their respective sister models.  The M-285-E comes standard with a dual-core Core Duo CPU, and the entry-level CX210 can also be equipped with a dual core processor. 

Both will be available by May and pricing will be around $1400.

eMachines W4620 Turion 64 Laptop Now Available at Walmart

A new eMachines notebook has emerged despite the recent buyout of the company by Gateway.  The eMachines W4620 is available at Walmart for $895 and the full specs are below:

Gateway, Fujitsu Announce Centrino Duo Notebooks

Fujitsu Computer Systems and Gateway have announced new notebooks at CES this week. 

The  Fujitsu LifeBook N6410 and the LifeBook E8110 notebooks are powered by Intel's Centrino Duo chips. Both laptops are equipped with Intel's new dual-core processor for mobile computing, the Mobile Intel 945 Express Chip set, and the company's PRO/Wireless 3945ABG network WLAN connection technology.

The N6410 has two hard drives with up to 320GB total storage capacity.

Gateway unveiled the 17-inch NX860 and 17-inch M685-E and both will be powered by Intel's Centrino Duo processors and feature nVidia GeForce Go graphics controllers. These will be available later this month.

Gateway will also roll out a series of consumer dual-core laptops later this quarter, incuding the NX560 and M465-E which will feature 15.4-inch widescreen displays.
